We fought on behalf of Amy Van Doren and her children when her husband was killed during a fatal vehicle collision on Highway 185 in Potosi. Amy's husband, Paul Van Doren, was attempting to divert traffic away from an accident that he and his family came upon while driving down Highway 185. Unfortunately, one of the first responder vehicles sent to assist with the accident struck a stopped vehicle and then also struck Van Doren as he tried to get out of the way. Van Doren later passed from his injuries sustained from that collision.
In this case, we fought hard for Amy and her three sons to make sure they were given the compensation and care that they deserved and needed following the loss of their father. Though no amount of money will ever replace their father, and we made sure that the Volunteer Fire Department was held accountable for the actions of their associate's actions.
